Steve Weitzman – Founder, has been a music and sports journalist, photographer and concert promoter. Since beginning his writing career in 1969, he has written for Rolling Stone, Playboy, Sports Illustrated, Billboard and other publications having interviewed many artists including John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Garcia, Neil Young, Billy Joel (for Billy’s first Rolling Stone feature) and many others before making his transition to concert promoting in the late 1980’s. His photographs have been published in a wide variety of books and magazines. Since 1989 Steve has promoted countless concerts at many New York City venues including Tramps, Village Underground, Warsaw, Central Park SummerStage, Beacon Theater, Town Hall, Roseland and others working with many artists including Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Eminem, Chuck Berry, Willie Nelson, George Clinton and many others. Steve organized and promoted the 2006 Benefit for Arthur Lee concert at the Beacon Theater which headlined Robert Plant along with Ian Hunter, Ryan Adams and others to raise money for Lee’s medical expenses when he was suffering from leukemia with no health insurance. Today, Steve is now focused on giving back through charity events. Steve originated the idea of and is the producer for the “We Are Not Afraid” benefit video and song release.
Christopher Nichols – President, is a seasoned executive with over 18 years of leadership experience. He has been an officer at Key Capital Corporation since 2001 and was appointed to the Board in January 2012 as the Company’s President/CEO. He has held CEO, officer, and senior positions and served on company boards in various technology industries, including Internet security, media production, defense and medical devices. Mr. Nichols is also an avid musician, drummer, audio engineer, video editor and producer having worked in commercial film, television, and Broadway theater production.
Kevin Godley – Director, is an English musician, drummer, signer, writer and one of the world’s most renowned music video directors. He is known as the drummer of the art rock band 10cc and for his collaboration outside the band with Lol Crème. He has directed music videos for U2, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Eric Clapton and many others. In 1990 he was the creative force behind the landmark charity production “One World One Voice” project for BBC2 that was “a musical chain letter meets environmental documentary,” including such artists as Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed, Dave Stewart, Sting, Robbie Robertson, Joe Strummer, Steven van Zandt, Laurie Anderson and many others. Kevin recently developed a music platform for the iPad that combines audio and video to create a global recording studio in the cloud, called “WholeWorldBand,” that was nominated for the “SXSW Music Accelerator Award” in 2013. The CADS (Creative Art and Design) Committee recently presented Kevin Godley with an Outstanding Achievement Award, acknowledging 20 years of consistently stunning work. Kevin is directing a music video for Majek Fashek’s song “We Are Not Afraid” incorporating photos of noteworthy artists posing with a NOT AFRAID sign to be released in September 2016 to support the We Are Not Afraid project.
Rob Frabroni – Audio Engineer, is a California-born record producer and audio engineer well known for his work with Bob Dylan, The Band, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Tim Hardin, The Beach Boys, Joe Cocker, and Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and as Vice President at Island Records where he oversaw the remastering of the entire Bob Marley catalog. He produced the soundtrack on Martin Scorsese’s groundbreaking concert movie, The Last Waltz, which included an all-star cast of famous rock and roll performers. He built and designed the legendary Shangri-La studios in Malibu to the specification of Bob Dylan and the Band and was referred to as a “genius” by Keith Richards in his bestselling autobiography Life. Rob mastered the Majek Fashek song “We Are Not Afraid.”
Denny Somach – Associate Producer, is a Grammy® Award recipient, author and producer of music, radio and television. His company, Denny Somach Productions (DSP) is one of the most successful independent producers of syndicated and network radio programming in the country. DSP has produced programming for NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, Turner Broadcasting, Westwood One, Premiere, United Stations, USA Network, MTV and others. He was the co-creator of Friday Night Videos for NBC-TV. In the field of record and video production, Denny has worked with the Moody Blues, Johnny Winter, YES, Todd Rundgren, Alan Parsons, Dave Mason, Mick Fleetwood and others. He is the Executive Producer of Eric Johnson’s aural masterpiece, Ah via Musicom. The R.I.A.A. certified ‘platinum’ album features the 1992 Grammy Award winning song, “Cliffs of Dover.” Somach is the author of the recent bestselling book Get the Led Out: How Led Zeppelin Became the Biggest Band in the World. Denny Somach is a voting member of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences and he serves on the Grammy Hall of Fame Committee. Somach received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Moravian College and lives in the Philadelphia suburbs.
